Silvia Cubos
Silvia Cubos nació en la ciudad de México, y se crio en la ciudad de Toluca, es la mayor de 5 hermanos. Estudió comunicación y después de graduarse llegó a este país en 1996 donde tuvo la oportunidad de estudiar Ingles y Educación temprana. Silvia ha trabajado como maestra, interprete y trabajadora social. Desde los 17 años Silvia ha sentido el llamado de servir al Señor y orar por las necesidades de otros, ahora lo hace en Willowdale en Español desde 2019. Silvia disfruta cocinar comida mexicana, caminar al aire libre con sus dos hijas y su perro; para terminar el día le gusta disfrutar de un helado de fresa.
Silvia Cubos was born in Mexico City and grew up in the city of Toluca. She is the oldest of five siblings. She studied communications, and after graduating, she came to this country in 1996 where she had the opportunity to study English and early childhood. Silvia has worked as a teacher, interpreter, and social worker. Since the age of 17 Silvia has felt the call to serve the Lord and pray for the needs of others, now doing so in Willowdale en Español since 2019. Silvia enjoys cooking Mexican food, walking outdoors with her two daughters and her dog. At the end of the day, she likes to enjoy strawberry ice cream.
Liliana Daza
Liliana Daza es la hermana mayor de 4 hijas de una familia colombiana muy conservadora. Oriundos de un pequeño pueblo ubicado en el Oriente de Colombia en frontera con Venezuela donde creció y pasó su niñez. Luego se mudó a la capital para terminar sus estudios superiores en el área de tecnología. En el año 2011 se trasladó a los Estados Unidos junto con su familia debido a una oportunidad laboral. Desde temprano, Liliana ha sentido un llamado para servir y apoyar a la comunidad, por lo que aprovecha cada oportunidad que Dios pone en su camino para este propósito. Liliana disfruta de un buen café negro, viajar, comer buena comida, especialmente cuando viaja. Liliana hace parte de la Iglesia Willowdale en español casi desde sus inicios.
Liliana Daza is the eldest of 4 daughters from a very conservative Colombian family. She was born in a small town located in eastern Colombia on the border with Venezuela, where she grew up and spent her childhood. She then moved to the capital to finish her professional studies in technology. In 2011 Liliana moved to the United States with her family due to a job opportunity. Early on, Liliana has felt a calling to serve and support the community, therefore, she takes advantage of every opportunity that God puts in her path for this purpose. Liliana enjoys black coffee, traveling, eating good food, and especially eating good food while traveling. Liliana has been a part of Willowdale en Español almost since its beginning.
ANA LEON
Ana nació en México y emigró a los Estados Unidos a los 9 años. Vivía en Kennett Square, pero su familia se mudó a Delaware, donde Ana conoció a su novio de la secundaria con quien ha estado casada por más de 10 años. Son padres de dos niños, uno de 11 años y otro de 9 años. Ana ha traducido e interpretado profesionalmente por más de 11 años. Se unió a Willowdale En Español en el 2018 y es una de las intérpretes del servicio. En su tiempo libre le gusta ir a la playa, pintar, leer, y escribir. Ana está muy emocionada de ser parte del blog porque siente que es una forma para que las mujeres se conecten y sigan acercándose a Dios.
Ana Leon was born in Mexico and migrated to the United States at the age of 9. She lived in Kennett Square but her family moved to Delaware, where Ana met her high-school sweetheart with whom she has been married for more than 10 years. They are the parents of two boys, an 11 year old and 9 year old. Ana has been translating and interpreting professionally for over 11 years. She joined Willowdale En Español in 2018 and is one of the interpreters for the service. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, painting, reading, and writing. Ana is very excited to be part of the blog because she feels it is a way for women to connect and continue to grow closer to God.
Maritza Zavala Smith
Nació en Guanajuato, México, y se trasladó a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía siete años. Estudió Salud Pública en Penn State, donde conoció a su esposo. Llevan 8 años casados y tienen dos niños gemelos y una bebe. A Maritza le encanta viajar y bailar salsa. Cuando no está deleitándose con el té verde matcha con leche y estando al aire libre con sus seres queridos, puedes encontrarla aventurándose con su tribu a través de los libros.
Maritza Zavala Smith was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and moved to the US when she was seven. She studied Public Health at Penn State where she met her husband. They have been married for eight years and have twin boys and a baby girl. Maritza loves traveling and salsa dancing. When she is not delighting in matcha green tea lattes and being outdoors with loved ones, you can find her adventuring with her tribe through books.
