Calming Our Anxious Thoughts

This week we hear from two of our authors and their different experiences with anxiety. Kati and Lisa have different spiritual stories and are at different life stages, but read below to see how God has redeemed and refined both of them through their anxiety, not despite it.

Of Acne and Anxiety

It started as a stubborn patch of pimples on the left side of my chin.

I was a freshman in college, and until that point I’d never dealt with acne before. Sure, I had the occasional breakout caused by teenage hormones and improper skincare, but it always faded over time.

This time, it didn’t.

 

All We Can Do Is Keep Breathing

Breathing. It is one of our most basic instincts. From birth to death we breathe – most of the time without giving it any thought. It wasn’t until recently that I considered myself pretty good at breathing. After all, I was alive.
