IT STARTS HERE.
Life is busy. It doesn’t matter what phase of life you are in, we are in a society that tells us more is better when it comes to our social life. I know that even my days off get scheduled with chores, dinners out and Netflix. It makes me wonder why. We all would probably say we are tired and worn out from the everyday stress of this life even if we are happy and content in our circumstance.

When my dear friend recently invited me to spend an hour with her at a prayer labyrinth, I was both intrigued and concerned that I would not be able to quiet myself long enough to make it through…I had no idea what to expect but agreed to commit an hour of my time for this experience. For me, it turned out to be deeply emotional and meaningful.

To get more active, I am trying to get more steps in each day. I started off the new year walking with my husband or kids. If it wasn’t so cold, I would probably try to wrangle in one of my neighbors. But the other day, I went outside to get my steps in alone, and I was bored after a few minutes. I literally struggled to be alone in my thoughts.
