In the hush of Advent’s longing,
when the nights grow deep and still,
I lift my heart in gratefulness
to the God who meets me here.
For Hope once wrapped in swaddling cloth
still whispers through the dark,
a guiding flame, a promised light,
a mercy for my heart.
I thank You, Lord, for steady love
that holds when days are cold,
for peace that settles trembling hands,
for grace that won’t let go.
For every prayer not answered yet,
for promises not seen—
I’m grateful in the waiting,
for You wait here with me.
The world was weary once before,
yet Heaven bent so low,
and Light was born in Bethlehem
so all the world would know:
No night is ever empty,
no heart too lost to mend,
for Christ has come and still He comes—
our Savior and our friend.
So in this sacred season, Lord,
I offer thanks anew:
Not just for blessings realized,
but for the hope of You.
For Advent is a quiet gift,
a pause for hearts to see
that gratitude is born again
in those who dare believe.
